Matilda is a physical theatre artist, choreographer and teacher, with a 3 year physical theatre university degree from Dellarte International school of physical theatre, California, USA. She has a 8 year working experience in the field of physical theatre, performing arts and teaching, both in Finland and abroad. Her mothertongue is swedish and she is fluent in both finnish and english.
She was born in the archipelago of Kemiö, an island in the south of Finland, raised in the world of nature, playful and simple countryside life. She grew up with passion for the arts, in drawing, in music, and in theatre. Most of all passion for movement. Everything she creates begins from the physical body and she believes in "less is more" concept when making theatre.
To uphold her own physical health as well as her greatest tool in creativity, she trains in both floor acrobatics, contemporary dance and any other free form of movement (including fighting monkey practice, alexander technique etc).

Performing as Venni in Är du inte tacksam?, a play produced by Barnens Estrad and directed by Ellen Paulig. A piece about a 12 year old girl, Venni, who deals with eating disorder and issues of self worth. The play tours around Åboland to different schools hoping to bring more awareness on how to help or find help if dealing with similar mental issues like Venni in this play does.
